Sussex MLA, Bruce Northrup is 100% against the idea of Corridor Resources coming into the Sussex area and storing natural gas in salt caverns underground. He has been working with the “Quality Of Life” Committee since May and they were in Fredrection yesterday trying to get some answers from the Shawn Graham Government and the Department of Natural Resources. Northrup says “Citizens in Sussex just want to know what the situation is with the storage of gas, they are very concerned because they choose to live in rural areas for the reason of having their own wells, property, houses, and now they feel they are being violated”. Northrup says “It is true that Corridor does have an exploratory license 0801, that the Shawn Graham government has given to Corridor to explore and store natural gas. At the end of the day, it has no benefit to those who live in that area.”
