- The Sussex Toastmasters meeting will resume January 14th!!!
- How do you handle all those pictures in your camera or on your hard drive? How can you save those photo's your friends and relatives send you? The Sussex and area Seniors center is presenting a two session course on how to work with your photos on your computer. The course is of 2 sessions of 2 hours each and will be held at 50 perry street right here in Sussex. The cost of the course is $20 for members, Non Members will need to buy a membership for $20. Please bring your camera and card reader with you and call 433-8480
Friday January 9, 2009- The town works department will pick up Christmas Trees until Friday January 9th. If you are unable to deliver your tree to the back of the sports center for shredding, please put your tree out at the curb or edge of the street for pick-up
Saturday January 10, 2009- There will be a benefit for Ruth O,Brien on Jan 10/09 held at The Timberland from 2pm till 5 pm. Ruth is going for her Kidney Transplant and her son Scott will be her donor. Surgery for Ruth & Scott will be on Jan 19. Come and enjoy some time with Ruth & her family
A money Tree will be given to Ruth and a lunch will be served.

Monday January 12, 2009- The regular monthly meeting of the Sussex Health Center Auxiliary will be held at the Sussex Health Center at 2:00pm on January 19th in the conference room. New members are always welcome
Sunday January 18, 2009- Hampton Royal Canadian Legion BR.#28 will be hosting their great hot Sunday Brunch on January 18th from 10am - 1pm. you will recieve a warm country welcome as you serve yourself and enjoy eggs, home fried potatoes, toast, pancakes, bacon AND LOTS MORE for just $6.00.
At every brunch there is a 50/50 Draw held and take house are always available.

- Residents are advised that they can not put ash from any wood/pellet burning appliance out with their garbage or in their garbage as it will not be picked up by the towns collection contractor or by town staff. Residents are responsible for disposing of their ash in the metal barrel provided at the transfer station 54 McLeod drive- Free of Charge

- 'Pet Bird Rescue' is a non profit rescue center fr pet birds who have been neglected or can not remain in their present home. An effort is made to find homes for them, or a home will be provided until other arrangements can be made. For those who are turning in pets-cage, toys and food must be provided.
