Education Minister @ Sussex Middle School
The Minister of Education, the Honorable Kelly Lamrock met with students, parents and faculty today at the Sussex Middle School. Lamrock announced during his visit that two more District 6 schools will be designated as community schools. Rothesay High and Rothesay Elementary are now part of the 43 schools from both Anglophone and francophone sectors that have been chosen as community schools. This school year, the Department of Education will invest another $3.3 million in the community schools program. The Minister also announced that the District 6 schools will receive $180,000 from the Innovative Learning Fund to pay for classroom projects promoting hands on learning.
