Monday March 15, 2010- The regular monthly meeting of the Sussex Health Centre Auxiliary will be held on March 15th at the Sussex Health Centre at 2:00pm in the boardroom.
New members are always welcome.
- THE SUSSEX & AREA ACTIVITY CENTRE IS HOSTING THEIR 17TH ANNUAL ST. PATRICK'S DAY CORNED BEEF & CABBAGE DINNER ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17TH, 2010. JOIN US AT THE ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CHURCH HALL, 110 CHURCH AVENUE, SUSSEX, FROM 11:30 TO 1:30.
- A fundraising event will be held for the 2010 Grad Class of Petitcodiac Regional School on Friday March 19th at 7pm. Doors will open at 6pm. The event will feature Nashville recording artist singer/songwriter CHRIS CUMMINGS!!!!!! Tickets are $20.00 each and are available at Backstage Music. Proudly hosted by the PRS Grad Class of 2010.
- The Basement Players Theatre Group have tickets on sale NOW for their upcoming play 'Aunt Tillie Goes To Sea!' The March 19th show is at the Sussex Corner Elementary School; this is a family-fun comedy play with ALL proceeds from this year's play going toward Sussex IV Day Hospital! Tickets cost $10 per adult, and kids 12 and under get in for $5! Come out and support your local charity while enjoying a great night filled with fun and laughter!
- A Jam Session is coming up Saturday, March 20 at 7pm in the Penobsquis Fire Hall! You can help raise funds for the Baptist Youth Group June 2010 Toronto Missions Trip! 50/50 tickets and a light lunch is being provided!
- There's a Benefit Dance happening Saturday March 20 in the Havelock Legion from 9pm to 2am in support of Mike & Cathy Taylor-Weagle. Their house burned down New Year's Eve and had lost everything. EVERYONE is welcome and urged to attend to go and help support this family, and in return you'll have an awesome night filled with fun, 50/50 tickets, tickets on a Nascar jacket, and prizes donated from a wide assortment of businesses!
- Because of popular demand, St. John Ambulance is offering TWO more one-day babysitting courses! The next scheduled course is Saturday, March 27, and the final one is Monday, April 5! They start at 9am and finish at 3pm! The cost is $40 per person, and it's located at the St. John Ambulance building is located at 12 Perry Street, on the corner of Perry and Leonard Drive! - Don't miss the Sussex Rotary Annual Fundraising salmon or turkey Dinner happening Thursday, April 15 at the Sussex Legion! The social starts at 6pm, and dinner is served at 6:30! The dinner line-up includes Don Mockler with 'The Magic Man,' a Silend and Live Auction with Bev Folkins, as well a special rotary recognition. - The Greater Fundy Ground Search & Rescue Variety Show is coming to Sussex Friday, April 30 at the Jubilee Hall from 7pm-10:30! - Don't miss out on FREE one-on-one computer tutorials for basic computer use (including Internet and e-mail) at the Sussex Regional Library! These tutorial sessions are scheduled by appointment, you can just pop into the Library or phone 432-4585 to register for a time that is convenient for you!
