DESCRIPTION:2025 Cassidy Lake Family Fishing DerbyThe Sussex Fish & Game Association (SFGA) invites you to the annual Cassidy Lake Family Fishing Derby on Saturday\, June 7\, 2025\, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cassidy Lake. This family-friendly event focuses on catching chain pickerel. Participants are asked to keep their pickerel alive and bring them to the weigh-in station\, located at the boat launch. Prizes will be awarded to the top three longest pickerel in both the Youth (under 16) and Adult categories. All fish must be registered by 11:30 AM to be eligible for judging. \nRegistration is $20 per participant and includes a hot breakfast and coffee\, served on-site until 10:00 AM. Registration is available throughout the morning but must be completed before your fish can be entered. \nAll participants are reminded to follow New Brunswick boating safety regulations\, and ensure any motorized boats are properly licensed. \nThe Sussex Fish & Game Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving our hunting and fishing heritage. SFGA also maintains public access to Cassidy Lake through ongoing care of the boat launch area. \n
